Pellet technology is earth-friendly because it uses material that was destined to become waste product or land fill. Instead, it has been compressed into a convenient fuel (wood pellets) for high-efficiency stoves. The convenience factor has been multiplied many times over wood in that the 40lb bags of pellets are easy to store, easy to load, and much less messy than stoking and cleaning a wood stove.
