Clear, clean water not only benefits the user, but keeps the plumbing, pumps, and other components of the spa working for many years. To ensure crystal-clear water at all times Jacuzzi incorporates a system of 24-hour water circulation, filtration, and optional ozonation that surpasses systems offered by other manufacturers.
Each Jacuzzi Spa utilizes two filters of 60 sq. ft. each for a total of 120 sq. ft. of filtration. Of these two filters, one is always filtering water throught the 24-hr. circulation pump system. The second filter goes into action when the jet pumps are activated.
The advantage of the circulation pump is that, by using very little energy (.5 amps/hr.), it slowly circulates spa water through the heater and one of the two large filters. This ensures 24 hours/seven days per week of heating and filtration. This efficient system keeps the monthly costs of heating and filtering a Jacuzzi spa to a very reasonable $12 to $18.
An ultra low-watt density, energy-concerving, stainless steel heating element transfers heat to the slow-circulating water by way of one of the most accurate temerature regulating systems available. You will always have water temperature within .5 degrees of the setting on the control panel.
The optional ozone sanitizing system uses an efficient and reliable corona discharge ozone generator (5) that produces three times the amount of ozone as the standard UV systems. The ozone is then infused smoothly into the circulation system in a manner that maximizes the purifying effect. Finally, the ozone is dissipated in a unique dispersion chamber that increases its contact with the water as it finishes its bacteria-killing job before being released back into the spa.
